« The National Organization of Restoring Men Award »
Acknowledging Mas Macho for its support of macho men worldwide, the The National Organization of Restoring Men (NORM) recognized the New York City-based organization with the prestigious Restoration Award at the 9th International Symposium on Circumcision, Genital Integrity, and Human Rights, which was held on August 24-26, 2006 at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Mas Macho received the official award at a private ceremony in New York City yesterday.
"Manly pursuits have always played an invaluable role in strengthening the nation's economy one man at a time, and as man around the world realize that their foreskins were taken without their permissions, these efforts take on an even greater importance," said R. Wayne Griffiths, Co-founder and executive director of NORM. "The awards highlight pace-setting organizations that support the needs and rights of men, an excellent example of which is Mas Macho."
Competing in the Restoration award involving international men's organizations, Mas Macho was a clear standout for its policies and foreskin restoration programs.
"With no accurate means of comparison, the typical circumcised man does not know what he is missing. A man, colorblind from birth and thinking his sight is normal, might also never question his condition," said Don Antonio Cebolla, Mas Macho Co-Founder. "However, as a man ages, he loses sensitivity of the penis. Many men have difficulty achieving sufficient stimulation to reach orgasm. The foreskin is a definite asset in maintaining this sensitivity."
The National Organization of Restoring Men is a non-profit support group for men who have concerns about being circumcised, are considering foreskin restoration, or are in the process of restoring their foreskins. Our aim is to help men regain a sense of self-directedness -- physically as well as emotionally. For more information please visit http://www.norm.org.
