« The Superior Male Brain »

brizendine.jpgUntil the 1990s, almost all the clinical data collected on the human brain was based on the male brain and now Dr. Louann Brizendine, who's spent the last two decades studying female neurobiology, is updating our understanding of the superior male brain. In "The Female Brain", Dr. Brizendine gives hard evidence about why men are strong and confident and why women can't seem to make up their minds.

Dr. Brizendine, the founder of the Women's and Teen Girls' Mood and Hormone Clinic, begins with one simple fact: at conception, all brains begin the same. It sounds preposterous at first until you understand that the trigger for male superiority is testosterone.

Only eight weeks after conception, excess testosterone streamlines the male brain's communication center, focuses the hearing cortex and the final coup in creating the male brain makes the part of the brain that processes sex twice as large. This is the birth of machismo in each man!

The differences between the male and the female brain may are enormous. Women, for example, are twice as likely as men to become depressed. Again, the man is stronger.

And their hormone-drenched reality can change from day to day like the weather, totally unpredictable. This can be confirmed by any male.

Men's brain, with 2.5 times more space allotted to the sex drive, is countered by the female brain having 11 percent more neurons in the centers for language and hearing. This explains why when a man wants to be pleasured by his woman, he must smack her to get her to shut up.

Men's brains are also better able to absorb fear and aggression. Female brains have so little capacity in that area that, in today's fast-paced world, it's not surprising that women might be stressed by a few unpaid bills.

Once again the scientific community confirms that men are stronger than women.

The research removes any doubt of macho men being more adept at expressing their jealous rage through force and fist than words and sensibility. Thank you Dr. Louann Brizendine!!!
